Kurt van Tricht is Belgium's only out gay skater, and he and partner Heidi Leys are Belgium's only adult pair. The two manage to fit their practices and international competitions (including the First Winter Classic at New York's Sky Rink in 2000, and the annual Mountain Cup in Villard-de-Lans, France) around their full-time regular jobs. Van Tricht's trademark, aside from his shamelessly charming personality, is the Biellmann spin which sets him apart from other adult male skaters.
