Linda Carney and Laura Moore were the first same-sex pair team to comprise two out lesbians. Carney skated at the 1994 and 1998 Gay Games in both singles and pairs. She also makes an appearance in the English feature film Thin Ice, about lesbian pairs skaters aspiring to compete at the Gay Games.
