Hmm. I'm neither 'twixt nor 'tween here, I seem to be in another category
altogether.

I'm attempting to compute the path by which perl will want to be able to read
them, later on, to include in a path being provided for "make install" to
write them. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you wrote, but I'm currently
thinking that a case could be made that {sitelib} and kin, the variables
without "install" on front, may in principle be better choices for this app.
